Crochet Acorn Marty pattern

With autumn fast approaching, it’s time to introduce our crochet acorn pattern, starting with Acorn Marty. Those familiar with the works of Széll Zsuzsi will recognize this delightful creation. Zsuzsi was kind enough to allow me to post her patterns here. I hope you’ll enjoy crafting this unique crochet acorn as much as I did.

    15. sc in the outer loop only for 54 sts
  10. sc in both loops (54), finish off, but leave a long tail for sewing to the body.

For the 15th row, “hook” the hair into the inner stitches, leave it a bit longer so that you can shape it when you’ve finished with the hair.
For the top of the hat, the “twig” 8 ch, 1 slip stitch returning to the second stitch, sew it to the middle, pull in and tie off the threads inside.
Measure where you want to sew it to the body, use pinning needles, put a little stuffing between the cap and the body, and sew it on, making sure not to pull the thread too tight.
